Parties

Unicorns | Floaties

09/07/2017

Another year has come and gone and we celebrated Sloane’s birthday by going all out again. This year she wanted unicorns and more rainbows. And lucky for me I still had paper products and bags left from last year. I’m thinking this may be the last year that I’ll be able to plan a party like this because chuck e’cheese is looking really good to her. So if someone else wants something done, I’ll do it for you.

I started by creating another balloon installation. This year I was able to use what I learned last year and it was a lot easier. I did have the help from my sister and friend, which also was super helpful. And how darling is the unicorn piñata? and the little baby unicorns?! Lula Flora made them and I was obsessed. They have so many amazing products.

Sloane had such a good time with her little friends. We played pin the unicorn horn on the unicorn, coloring, had the candy filled unicorn to break open, ate pizza and played. This age is such a fun age, but I’m dying a little inside knowing that she is growing up too fast.

Sloane’s 4th Birthday | Rainbow Party

10/12/2016

Remember that one time I threw a Rainbow party for my daughter’s 4th birthday party? Oh yea, that was four months ago and I’m just getting around to posting some images. When Sloane told me she wanted a rainbow party, I just ran with it; making a rainbow balloon arch. I’m pretty sure people might think I’m crazy, but I honestly enjoy creating something fun! A big thanks to Oh Happy Day party shop for the balloons, party favors and napkins. The paper products came from Zurchers.

Sloane’s 3rd Birthday

07/02/2015

I threw something together that was simple and easy for Sloane’s 3rd birthday. All she really kept asking me for was a cake. So I asked Tess to make a funfetti cake and it was delicious! I had all the cacti plants around my house and then I attempted to make Alison’s sugar cookies from her class. I need a lot more practice with the royal frosting, but at least they tasted good. The balloons were sent to me by Northstar Balloons and they were the perfect size and so fun to use. Pretty sure sis felt special and celebrated. We sure love this little girl of ours!

sloane’s 1st birthday.

06/07/2013

the evening couldn’t have been more perfect. family and friends came to celebrate sweet little sloane. it was relaxed and casual, the best way. i had it catered and even bought the little cake from dippidee. when the kids arrived they could make headdresses from feathers, felt, ribbon and such. as cliche as it sounds, this first year went by too fast! little sloane is the sweetest, most easy going baby. she adores her older brother and he is so patient and loving to her. i love watching each of them with each other. they are my heart.

my little man’s birthday party.

10/20/2012

he turned 7…i can’t believe my little man turned 7. and to celebrate all he wanted to do was to “create something”. he loves getting paper, pencils, crayons, paint, you name it, out and making things. so we had creative capsule come and they made terrariums. it was such a fun afternoon for the kids. i went with that theme and created a table setting for them afterwards for singing happy birthday, cupcakes and presents. max is lucky to have some great friends and he felt spoiled the entire day. and he deserved it!
